One gets five
BMW Philippines, under Asian Carmakers Corporation, is getting ready for the launch of the all new, 2nd generation 1 Series this November, and already the car is making waves by achieving the maximum rating from the European New Car Assessment Program, or Euro NCAP.
The crash test organization responsible for testing a car's safety for passengers, both infant and adult, as well as for pedestrians, has just given the 1 Series the full 5 star rating.
The 1 Series performed very well on all scenarios, providing both driver and passengers with plenty of protection regardless of their height or seating position; same goes for child safety. The tests also determined that the 1 Series offers optimal pedestrian protection, thanks to the way the body panels (specifically the front bumper) are modelled.
