BMW says superior sportiness in their compact segment will be more attractive starting summer with the launch of the BMW M235i xDrive Coupe and upgrades for the 2 Series model line-up.

The BMW 2 Series Convertible will have a four-wheel drive system and a new 8-speed Steptronic transmission with a proactive drive system.

The BMW M235i xDrive Coupe features an 8-speed Steptronic sport transmission as standard that accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds.

BMW is also adding a new model under the 2 Series line-up, the 228i Coupe. It is powered by a four-cylinder petrol engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology that delivers 248 PS with 350 Nm of torque and  can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h  in 5.7 seconds.

Adding to the list of upgrades, the BMW 2 Series will now feature the driving experience control button that allows the driver to adapt the vehicle to meet ones need. It has a sport mode wherein the accelerator pedal progression and the characteristic map of the power steering can be adjusted independently to meet personal preferences.

BMW is also offering upgrades and border range of powertrain choices on a variety of models and new options in the individual catalog.
