BMW's M Performance division has just introduced a wave of new performance parts for the lineup. According to the automaker, these parts aim to deliver better aerodynamics, handling to complement the cosmetic upgrades.
First up is the new carbon rear wing and coilover suspension upgrade for the M3 and M4. The wing is purely made from carbon fiber from the feet to the tips. Meanwhile, the coilovers are a fully adjustable system that can be set between 5 and 20mm via the spring plate on the front and rear spring struts. It also comes with red coil springs that distinguishes it from the rest.
Customers can also spec for a carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) engine cover, along with carbon side mirror caps. M Performance also offers carbon fiber trim pieces for the interior, as well as a new Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel.
Besides the M cars, BMW is also offering M Performance upgrades and accesories for the M240i Cabrio. The M Performance M240i can be specified with new 19-inch alloy two-tone alloy wheels, a rear diffuser finished in matte black and a new quad exhaust system with carbon tailpipe finishers.
To date, M Performance has around 1,300 accessories that can be fitted on every BMW model on sale today. The entire BMW range is available with M Performance parts save for the brand's MPVs, namely the 2 Series Active Tourer and 2 Series Grand Tourer.
