BMW will be introducing its latest version of the BMW Concept Active Tourer in its Outdoor form. To be presented at an outdoor activity summit called OutDoor Friedrinchshafen fair. It will highlight how the premium compact segment can utilize its interior space to make way for sport and leisure purposes.
The BMW Concept Active Tourer Outdoor features a generous interior space that is equipped with an integrated two-bike carrier system as well as a mix of durable interior finishing materials to stand up well to contact with several other outdoor equipment.
It’s blends compact dimensions with a sporty figure and measures 4,350mm x 1,833mm x 1,576mm (LxWxH) and has a wheelbase of 2,670mm. It sits on 20-inch wheels to accentuate its dynamic and sporty character. It’s exclusive Gold Race Orange exterior paintjob lets it perfectly match the outdoors.
The BMW Concept Active Tourer Outdoor features a plug-in hybrid drive system that is comprised of a transversely mounted 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and an electric motor contributing to a combined power output of 190 horsepower. Featuring a front wheel drive system, the BMW Concept Active Tourer Outdoor has a 0-100 km/h acceleration time below eight seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h. It also has the ability to run on electric power alone via BMW’s eDrive concept.
BMW and tourist board Austrian Tryol developed a route guide called ‘Heart of the Alps’ that guides the driver to a premium route in the Seefeld, Otztal and Zillertal regions that leads to enticing outdoor activities. All of these are displayed on BMW’s ConnectedDrive system.
