BMW has just named Karim Habib as their new Head of Design.
The BMW Group has just chosen the next man as their Head of Design for BMW Automobiles: 42 year old Karim Habib.
Habib will assume the post on June 1, 2012, after heading up the Exterior Design of BMW Automobiles since 2010. The Canadian-Lebanese designer (and engineer) has had a major hand in the design of cars such as the current 7-Series.
The new Head of Design has been with BMW since 1998, up until 2008 when he jumped over to BMW's rival, Mercedes-Benz, for two years. He returned to BMW after two years in 2010 as Head of Exterior Design.
Arguably the most famous (and controversial) person to have previously held the title of Head of Design, BMW Automobiles is Chris Bangle, the man who revolutionized the design of BMWs in the last decade.
