BMW will become the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation's (APEC) exclusive vehicle provider on January 2015 as the country will host a series of APEC meetings in nine cities across six regions. The company will provide over 200 7-Series Long-Wheelbase Sedans and 5-Series models in Sedan and Gran Turismo body stylings that will service heads of states, dignitaries, government officials and private sector leaders.

Asian Carmakers Corporation (ACC), the official importer and distributor of BMW cars in the country, recently sponsored a fleet of 7-Series Long-Wheelbase Sedans that chauffeured over 350 Filipino and and foreign experts during the 2014 APEC Informal Senior Officials' Meeting (ISOM) last December 8-9, 2014 at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel.

BMW provided the service cars as a way of supporting the national government for its continuing effort in setting the agenda amidst the rainy weather.

“BMW congratulates the Philippine government for taking point in this year's APEC ISOM. We will continue to support the endeavors of our leaders in the coming year as they tackle economic strategies in major business sectors including the automotive industry , which is poised to help spur growth in the region”, said ACC President Maricar Parco.

Carrying the theme 'Building Inclusive Economics, Building a Better World', the 2-day symposium was centered on streamlining priorities that will be tackled for next year's conference on regional trade for inclusive growth and economic cooperation among other 21 member countries.
