This year's Geneva International Motor Show will see BMW debut a special edition i8 that will be available in two exterior finishes. Called the Frozen Edition, the sports hybrid will don a unique finish, bringing the total number of available colors for the i8 to twelve.

First up is the color called Protonic Frozen Black which gives the car a nice dark hue all around. Even portions of the interior like the dashboard, door panels and seats get the distinct black finish.

For those that prefer a brighter tone, BMW is also offering the Protonic Frozen Yellow color. Like the first car, the yellow shade also makes its way in the cabin, which gives a nice contrast against the pre-dominantly dark interior.

Both cars are powered by the familiar 1.5-liter three-cylinder hybrid engine that puts out a combined output of 362 PS and 569 Nm of torque. It can run on pure electric power for 24 km and is capable of averaging 40 km/l. Meanwhile, its claimed maximum range is at 530 km.
