Bosch helps the workshops surmount their technical limitations by providing training and service support, including the installation of diagnostic systems. Through this tie-up, motorists are able to gain access to a wider network of one-stop shops for diagnostics and spare parts. The independent workshops, on the other hand, are able to offer a wider range of services, tap more customers and increase their income opportunities.
A BCS partner since 2000, Top Gear has adapted the official Bosch corporate design and service offering – the same quality standard that Bosch maintains in over 14,300 garages worldwide. Top Gear is the 1st Bosch Car Service model workshop in the Philippines.
"Bosch is an essential partner in the automotive workshop industry," said TG Vice President Mar Ongsiaco. "Our BCS accreditation has been a great support as we now have more customers," he explains. "Our sales grew at an average of 20–25 percent annually as we gain price competitiveness, marketing support and brand awareness. More and more customers come to us."
To achieve this, Ongsiaco and TG President Dario Gorospe enrolled key personnel in Basic and Advanced Technical courses in Automotive Technology as well as Workshop Management and Customer Care at Bosch's Philippine Automotive Technical Training Center (PATTC) in Kamagong, Makati City. This, he believes, will enable Top Gear to draw more customers and serve more motorists.
The complex nature of components and systems fitted into most new cars has increasingly become a big technical challenge for independent workshops (i.e. neighborhood talyer). Bosch allows these entrepreneurs to overcome these challenges with the use of its equipment and technologies. Bosch Diagnostics equipment technology optimizes the combination of hardware and software – through its "Parts and Bytes" concept – to address these challenges with rapid troubleshooting and qualified repair.
Top Gear greatly benefited from its partnership with Bosch. It carries Bosch core automotive products, including Bosch diagnostic systems, body electronics, wipers, braking systems, filters and the Bosch sparkplug, among others.
Top Gear caters to a niche market of luxury European car owners as well as to a significantly growing number of Continental and Japanese car owners. It also provides a wide range of services that includes the classic Bosch fields of automotive electrics, electronics, diesel service and engine diagnostics as well as inspections and oil service, general mechanical vehicle repairs, air-conditioning service and tires service.
Bosch Car Service partnership program
With the "Bosch Car Service" concept, Bosch helps independent workshops through mechanic training, up-to-date service information and modern diagnostic systems. Local workshop partners receive direct support from Robert Bosch Inc.'s Automotive Aftermarket Division, which provides testing (diagnostic) technology, quality parts, cross-brand technical information, and technical training.
Through the BCS, more and more workshops are able to respond to the growing service requirement of motorists and their vehicles through expert cross-brand service and quality work.
