The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and the Trucks Manufacturers Association (TMA) announced that the organization sold 26,979 units in November 2015, a 25.9-percent increase compared to 21,422 units sold in the same month last year.
CAMPI and TMA adds that the year-to-date sales figure reached 261,930 units versus 213,427 units in the same period last year.
Both Passenger Cars (PC) and Commercial Vehicles (CV) segments registered increases in November sales. The PC sales increased by 32.5-percent with 10,649 units compared to 8,040 units in November 2014. On the other hand, the CV sales increased by 22-percent with 16,330 units sold, coming from 13,382 units in November 2014.
“With another impressive growth in November 2015, we are most likely to achieve our target of 310,000 units for the year”, said CAMPI president Atty. Rommel Gutierrez.
Based on the figures, Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation continues to lead with 43.9-percent market share while Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation follows in second with 18.5-percent. Ford Motor Company sits in third with 11-percent share. Isuzu Philippines Corporation is in fourth with 7-percent, while Honda Cars Philippines sits in fifth with 5.8-percent market share.
