Carbon-fiber-bodied Dodge Demon to debut at 2017 SEMA

Speedkore shaves off more weight on the Dodge Demon with carbon-fiber body modification

In the unending pursuit of improving power-to-weight ratio on automobiles, the infamous Dodge Demon will get a carbon fiber diet at this year’s SEMA Show. First revealed at the 2017 New York Auto Show, the supercharged 850 PS drag machine already weighs 90 kg lighter than the Hellcat.

Come opening day of the 2017 SEMA Show however, the Demon will become substantially even lighter in the form of an all-carbon fiber body. Made possible with Speedkore Performane (who also revealed an all-carbon fiber Hellcat during last year’s show called the Speedkore 10), the fire-breathing HEMI will also benefit from the drastic weight loss.

Exact details as to what Speedkore modified on the Demon (apart from the carbon fiber body) is still a mystery. However, we do expect that the tuning shop will install aftermarket wheels, maybe a custom interior, as well as a bit more oomph from the engine.

Given that it will be even lighter than the standard Demon, the Speedkore machine could have faster acceleration and a higher top speed than normal. Still, we have to wait and see on opening day of the 2017 SEMA Show on October 31.

Apart from the carbon fiber-bodied Demon, Speedkore will also be displaying several highly-modified Mustangs including a special GT350R and other custom machines.
