Renault's Board of Directors, at its meeting on April 29, 2005, following the AGM, appointed Carlos Ghosn President and CEO of Renault.

As President and CEO of Renault, Carlos Ghosn is vested with the fullest powers to act under all circumstances on behalf of the company. Notably, he plans and executes Renault's strategy after submitting it to the Board of Directors. Carlos Ghosn continues as President and CEO of Nissan.

Louis Schweitzer retains his position as Chairman of the Board of Renault. He organizes and supervises the work carried out by the Board and reports on it to the AGM. He ensures that the highest principles of corporate governance are established and applied.

The Board of Directors paid tribute to Louis Schweitzer for his work at the head of the company since 1992 including his decision to form the Alliance with Nissan and take a controlling share in the company.
