Honda Racing recently collaborated with Casio to introduce an all-new addition to the watchmaker's Edifice line of chronograph models. Officially called the EQS-800HR, the watch is based on the concept of 'Speed and Intelligence'. It is set to be released on October 12, with a price of 28,000 yen (aproximately Php 13,600).

The watch collaboration comes as no surprise. Casio has been an official supporter of the Scuderia Torro Roso Formula 1 team since 2016. In fact, the Japanese watchmaker previously released a Toro Rosso Limited Edition Casio Edifice as well. This season, Honda Racing is also the provider of the team's power unit. With both Casio and Honda Racing originating from Japan, the two collaborated on a watch which is said to have been 'born from their common pursuit of high-tech capabilities'.

Casio's lastest watch is a collaboration with Honda Racing

Casio's upcoming EQS-800HR is a solar powered watch which has a dial made from lightweight carbon fiber. It also uses the red-white color scheme of Honda Racing all throughout with the Honda Racing logo featured on the dial, strap keeper and engraved on the black plate. However, it still shares the same features as the standard EQS-800CD wherein it uses a stainless steel case. It also comes with a stopwatch and is 100m water resistant just to name a few of its features.

Buying the EQS-800HR comes with some additional goodies as well. It comes in an exclusive box with a metal case sporting the Honda Racing livery. It also comes with a special card commemorating the 1968 Honda RA301 Formula 1 car.

Casio did not specify whether the EQS-800HR will come in limited numbers. That said, expect Honda enthusiasts to quickly snatch up this unique timepiece.
