It made its debut in Tokyo and now, it's coming here. Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has not only announced their participation for this year's Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), they will also have a concept car on display for the exhibit.
Soon to make its appearance in the country is the Mitsubishi e-Evolution Concept, along with the rest of MMPC's current lineup.
Billed as the next step for Mitsubishi performance cars, the concept has been touted as a cross between a high-performance SUV and an EV. Unlike the Evolutions of the past, the concept uses a triple motor 4WD system which consists of a single motor in front and a Dual Motor system to power individual rear wheels. There's also Dual Motor Active Yaw Control (AYC) system that couples two rear motors through an electronically controlled torque-vectoring AYC unit.
The Evo crossover concept sees a short hood with three different sets of lights occupying the fascia. Following the 'Dynamic Shield' design language, slim LED daytime running lights are set high and meets the seam of the hood with the headlights set lower down the fascia. The steeply raked windshield of the concept gives it a dramatic looking roofline while the back gets a coupe-inspired tail and slim LED tail lights.
Besides the e-Evolution concept, MMPC said that they will be revealing their full PIMS lineup in the coming days. As it stands, the current MMPC range consists of the Mirage, Mirage G4, Xpander, Strada, Montero Sport, and Pajero.
