CCLEX Tropical Food Park is now open
If there's one reason why motorists prefer to use expressways when heading to far-flung destinations, it's the convenience they provide instead of traveling along busy provincial roads. Not only that, but most expressways have several gas stations and food stops wherein hungry motorists can grab a bite to eat, as well as rest up.
The management Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) has followed suit and recently opened a food park just beside its toll plaza. The newly-opened food park duplicates the Drive & Dine facility located in other Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC)-operated expressways like the one in the North Luzon Expressway called “NLEX Drive & Dine”.
The food park beside the toll plaza in CCLEX is not yet a permanent feature as the management is currently testing it. However, they did say that they plan on building a permanent facility which will be called “CCLEX Drive & Dine”.
“Although this food park is just temporary and will run for about six months, we are simultaneously planning on building a more permanent toll service facility for the benefit of our motorists, or what we will call the CCLEX Drive and Dine,” said Herbert Laboy, vice president and Project Manager at Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway Corporation (CCLEC).
The CCLEX Tropical Food Park houses more than 40 different establishments that are eyeing to increase their awareness and presence at the country’s longest and tallest bridge and Cebu’s landmark.
The food park is open to the public from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM during weekdays. From Fridays to Sundays, it's open from 8:00 AM until 12 midnight along with free entertainment.
