Hyundai Mobility Vision concept brings convenience and connectivity into your home
Hyundai Motor Company has recently unveiled its new Mobility Vision concept at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, with the aim to connect self-driving cars to living and working environments.
As the new era starts, the brand's Smart House technology gets better, blurring the line between mobility, living, working space and integrating the car into the daily lives of its users. The Smart House concept demonstrates the brand's plan for the Mobility Vision, which places Connected Car technologies at the center of the home.
Hyundai said that the new concept combines the comfort, convenience and connectivity features of the car and the home into one space.
“Our Smart House concept fully integrates the car into the home, ultimately making the user’s life more comfortable and convenient. By seamlessly blending features from the car with home and work environments, the user experience is uninterrupted whether socializing, working at home, or on the move,” said Hak Su Ha, Director of Hyundai Design Center.
When docked with the Smart Home, Hyundai said that the Mobility Vision concept then becomes an integral part of the living space, performing useful functions such as acting as an air conditioner, sharing entertainment facilities, and even providing power in emergency situations.
In addition, the Mobility Vision concept also extends to connected technologies that make the users’ lives easier on a daily basis. Hyundai also invested in hyper-connectivity which the company claims will become so advanced that users will not feel the movement of transport as they continue to use the living and working space.
Also shown in the event is the brand's new portable-mobility concept dubbed Hyundai Ioniq Scooter. The company claims that this lightweight, electrically-powered scooter is more accessible as it is stored in the Ioniq Electric's front door rather than the trunk, allowing customers to continue easily to their final destination.
