Last week the all-new Honda Civic officially made its ASEAN debut in Thailand. That's means it's only a matter of time (months, likely) before the 2022 Civic makes its way to the Philippines.
Yesterday Honda revealed the Modulo accessories for the ASEAN-spec Civic, giving it a sleeker and sportier appearance than before. Yes, it seems Honda is already busy dressing up the all-new compact even before it arrives in showrooms. Honda even made OEM accessories for the hatchback nearly two months ago.
Following Honda's (and Modulo's) dressing up of the 11th generation Civic, Mugen (the company's in-house tuning division) has revealed their own parts catalog for the all-new compact. But instead of using the sedan Mugen chose the sportier hatchback.
Based on the teaser images the Civic Hatchback Mugen gets a mild body kit that consists of a chin spoiler, side skirts, black side mirror caps, window visors, stylish 18-inch forged alloy wheels, a blacked-out trunk spoiler, and a new rear bumper that deletes the trapezoidal exhaust outlets.
Besides the aesthetic upgrades, Mugen also mentioned a sporty exhaust upgrade for the Civic. They didn't go much into detail, but it's a twin exhaust setup that appears similar to the factory 1.5L turbo version.
Pictures of the Civic Mugen's interior are not yet available but they did say that it will come with an upgrade that they claim will prevent outside air from entering while also enhancing ventilation. We're not entirely sure what they mean.
Come September 3, Mugen will reveal the entire parts catalog for the Civic. The official release date as well as the prices for the parts will also be shared next month.
Should Honda Cars Philippines Inc make the Mugen parts available to the country, will you get them over the Modulo accessories? Or will keep your Civic just the way it is?
