In order to spice up the look of the Jazz and the BR-V Honda has released two new limited edition variants of the the small hatchback and the 7-seat crossover. Called the Jazz Mugen and BR-V Special Edition, the two limited-run models have just been introduced in Malaysia and will be limited to only 300 units each.
Starting with the Jazz Mugen, the styling of the hatchback has been further enhanced with the sporty looking wraparound Mugen bodykit. A new front bumper, LED fog lights and front grill completely change the Jazz’s front end, giving it a more aggressive look. A new side skirt, rear under spoiler and tailgate garnish further enhances the look. Completing the exterior makeover is a Mugen spoiler.
There was no mention of whether the Jazz Mugen will get any upgrades under the hood. Given how Mugen mostly does cosmetic upgrades, it is likely that the same was done for this limited-edition Jazz. That said, power will still come from a 1.5L i-VTEC engine which produces 120 PS and 145 Nm of torque. Specifically, the Jazz Mugen will be offered in only with a Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT).
As for the BR-V Special Edition, Honda Malaysia has added some new touches to the 7-seater. On the outside, it gets an exclusive spoiler, new running boards as well as a side step garnish for a ‘sportier and sleeker’ look. Step inside, the BR-V Special Edition comes equipped with a 6.8-inch infotainment system with smart connectivity. Along side the special edition model, Honda Malaysia will also be offering a new color for the BR-V with a new color: Passion Red Pearl.
The Jazz Mugen is priced at RM88,600 (Php 1,132,000) for Modern Steel Metallic and RM 88,720 (Php 1,133,535) for White Orchid Pearl. As for the BR-V Special Edition, it is available in both Passion Red Pearl and White Orchid Pearl color priced at RM 90,700 (Php 1,158,832) and RM 91,000 (Php 1,162,665).
With Honda Malaysia releasing limited edition models of the Jazz and BR-V, do you think Honda Cars Philippines should release something similar?
