Chery PH aims for 28 dealers before year end

Chery plans to open 9 new locations in various parts of the country

Chery Auto Philippines (CAP) has been on a roll this 2021. Aside from launching its latest crossover, the Tiggo 7 Pro, the company also introduced its new brand ambassador (Alex Gonzaga) and even opened a dealership in Camarines Sur.

While it seems they have only opened a single dealership in the first half of 2021, United Asia Automotive Group Inc (UAAGI), the official distributor of Chery in the country, is set to kick things into high gear for the remainder of 2021.

In a recent statement, UAAGI officially announced that they plan to open more locations in the country before 2021 ends. The brand expects to close the year with a total of 28 dealerships in the country, exceeding its original goal of just 22 dealerships.

“A strong and accessible dealer network has been one of the brand's top priorities from the start. We have excellent products and the fastest way to get them to market and into people's awareness is by bringing the product to them, wherever they are,” said Rommel Sytin, president of CAP and UAAGI.

Chery is set to open 9 more locations in the Philippines. These are Chery Fairview, Chery Commonwealth, Chery Pasay, Chery Bacolor, Chery Subic, Chery Calasiao, Chery Lipa, Chery Gordoro, and Chery Kauswagan.

“The trust of our dealer partners is an important part of Chery Auto Philippines' continuous initiative to expand our dealership network not just in Metro Manila, but also in previously untapped urban and rural markets nationwide,” added Sytin.

The new dealerships will offer Chery's quality aftersales offerings, parts and services, customer relations, and financing programs. In addition, the automaker's full lineup of Tiggo crossovers will be available in all locations to attract interested buyers.

With Chery now having a total of 19 dealerships since their comeback in late 2019, it looks like they have developed and expanded throughout the country with ease. But will they be able to open all 9 new locations before 2021 ends? We certainly hope so.
