Chevrolet Philippines has just introduced the updated 2014 Captiva with a major exterior update, refreshed exterior and a significant price drop.
The 2014 Chevrolet Captiva is based on the update revealed at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show which aligns the Captiva with the current design language of the brand. The front features a dual port grill with the iconic bowtie at its center. It is equipped with projector headlights and redesigned front bumper with integrated fog lamps. The rear of the vehicle is fitted with chrome exhaust tips and LED taillights. The 2014 Captiva sits on 17-inch wheels.
Inside, the 2014 Captiva is capable of accommodating 7 full size adults and boasts a cargo space of 1,577 liters when both the second and third row seats are folded. It features Bluetooth connectivity for mobile phones and MP3 players. It also has steering wheel mounted audio controls, air conditioner setting and dual climate control.
The 2014 Captiva comes with various safety features like auto leveling rear suspension, which prevents the vehicle from assuming a nose-up-tail-down stance under heavy loads. Anti-lock braking system, rear park assist, driver and passenger airbags; are also standard.
The 2014 Chevrolet Captiva is available either with a 2.0L CRDi Turbo Diesel engine that delivers 163 PS with 400 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with Driver Shift Control and ECO drive mode; or a 2.4-liter inline-4 rated at 165 PS and 229 Nm of torque.
The Chevrolet Captiva 4x2 receives a significant price drop of Php 270,000, pegging its new retail price at PhP 1,298,888 for the AT gas variant and PHP 1,398,888 for the AT diesel variant.
