Chevrolet tricks out the Colorado in new High Country Storm variant
Looking for a high-tech pickup truck that can take you anywhere in style? Chevrolet Philippines may just have what you're looking for.
The Covenant Car Company Inc. (TCCCI), the official distributor of Chevrolet cars in the country, recently introduced an all-new variant of the Colorado. Called the High Country Storm, it will serve as the new top-of-the-range model and comes with additional goodies inside and out.
Beginning with its exterior, the tricked-out pickup now sports several blacked-out accents which can be seen on the hood, doors, side mirror caps and door handles. There's also the striking body graphics which highlight the High Country Storm's go-anywhere image. Further adding to the dark aesthetics of the pickup truck are the black 18-inch alloy wheels, black anthracite rear bumper and the rear sport bar on the bed itself.
Pop the doors open and the Colorado High Country Storm greets you with leather upholstery, high-quality materials and faux metal trim. A six-way power adjustable driver's seat comes as standard which makes for finding the ideal driving position easier. Providing in-car entertainment is an 8-inch touchscreen system that supports the latest MyLink infotainment software. Besides having the usual AM/FM radio, USB, Aux and Bluetooth telephony features, the new MyLink also comes with Apple CarPlay, Siri Eyes Free, and voice recognition.
Under the hood is the ever familiar 2.8-liter Duramax turbo-diesel that delivers best-in-class pulling power. It generates 200 PS along with a stump-pulling 500 Nm of torque. Being the new top-of-the-range model, the High Country Storm is only available with a six-speed automatic transmission coupled to a 4WD system.
Like the Z71 Colorado, a host of safety features make their way in the High Country Storm. These include cruise control, lane departure warning, forward-collision alert, trailer sway control, hill-start assist, hill-descent control, electronic stability control, traction control, tire pressure monitoring, front and rear parking sensors and a reverse camera.
Anti-lock brakes (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution, and dual SRS airbags round up the safety kit on the Colorado High Country Storm.
Other available body colors for the High Country Storm Colorado (besides Orange Crush shown above) are: Black Meet Kettle Metallic, Blue Me Away Metallic, Dark Shadow Metallic, Pull Me Over Red, Satin Steel Gray Metallic and Summit White.
The 2019 Colorado High Country Storm retails for Php 1,638,888.
