Shanghai GM has just revealed the interior photos of the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze for the Chinese market that had its world debut at the 2014 Auto China last April.
Chevrolet says the new Cruze “represents the dynamic, sophisticated, efficient and innovative design philosophy of Chevrolet both inside and out, to embody Chevrolet's ‘Design with a Heartbeat’.”
The interior of the 2015 Cruze features Chevrolet’s dual-cockpit design inspired by Corvette and Camaro. The automaker says the interior cabin of the Cruze is “roomy” and “comfortable”. It has a three-spoke multi-function leather steering wheel and a dual gauge instrument cluster.
The interior space of the Cruze was expanded by optimizing its layout and structure. The cowl point was moved forward, the four wheels are extended outward and the roof curve is extended backwards. The 2015 Cruze also has a downsized engine that adds to the cabin space.
The Cruze has a saddle brown interior color. The front dash, door panels and seats are wrapped in hand-stitched premium leather. It features an 8-inch multi-point touchscreen that can be used for navigation, accessing personal contacts and streaming music and images.
The automaker also says that the vehicle has a generous rear knee room and a butterfly-shaped center console that delivers intuitive, user-friendly operation. The piano black center console of the Cruze is infused with chrome accents and “ice blue” ambient lighting.
