Chevrolet to introduce small MPV to compete with Toyota Avanza
Bangkok, Thailand: Chevrolet, under the distributorship of The Covenant Car Company, Inc., is currently holding the exclusive media drive of the all new Chevrolet Spin in Thailand.
The all new Spin will be Chevrolet's offering in the small MPV segment which will see it compete with the Toyota Avanza, Suzuki APV, among others.
According to the press information packet, the 7-seat Chevy Spin will be offered with a 1.5 liter gasoline engine that produces 107 PS and 148 newton meters of torque.
Whats interesting is that it will also be offered with a 1.3 CRDI turbo diesel engine that produces 75 PS and 190 newton meters of torque, giving the Spin the smallest diesel engine in the market. A 6 speed automatic is standard.
While Chevy is still mum about pricing, expect the Spin to be priced somewhere around the PhP 700 to 800k mark... and it will probably end at 888 as per TCCCI's pricing conventions.
More on this new Chevy MPV as we drive it.
