Chevrolet is set to introduce the Chevrolet Trax this September over at the 2012 Paris motor show. The Trax will be Chevrolet's answer to the other manufacturer's small SUV/ compact crossover segment models just like Mitsubishi's ASX and Subaru's XV.
"For many decades, Chevrolet has been known for its dependable and capable SUVs. Trax will deliver on all of the traditional Chevrolet values and more. It is a modern, highly versatile yet fuel-efficient small SUV, offering car-like handling and all-wheel drive," said Susan Docherty, President and Managing Director of Chevrolet Europe.
The Trax measures 4,248 mm in length, 1,776 mm wide with a wheelbase of 2,555 mm with powerful body lines that convey agility and movement. It will be initially offered in Europe with three engines choices, a 1.4L turbocharged petrol engine, a 1.6L petrol engine, and a 1.7L turbo-diesel engine.
Inside the trax, it has a sophisticated instrument cluster providing digital readouts on analog displays, it can also carry a lot of stuff on its 358-liter capacity trunk, and can even extend up to the second row seats via a 60/40 split rear seat.
More details about the Chevrolet Trax will be released at the Paris motor show this Septmeber 27.
