After teasing us last week, Kia has revealed the rugged Trail'ster concept during the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.
Designed to preview the production version of the Soul AWD (all-wheel drive), the Trail'ster concept features a two-tone 'Polar Pearl Snowdrift' and 'Terra Bronze Metallic' exterior paint scheme. The rugged concept also comes with a roll-top canvas roof, blacked-out LED headlights, large fog lights and a honeycomb-shaped grill.
Moreover, the Trail'ster concept is fitted with LED taillights, aggressive rear bumper and an aluminum cladding around the entire vehicle. It is finished off with 19-inch two-tone alloy wheels.
The interior of the concept is equipped with brown leather and features aluminum accents. It also has an aircraft-inspired thickset gear shifter, AWD controls and a bright red ignition button. In addition, the Trail'ster concept comes with a three-spoke steering wheel and the floor mats feature aluminum inlays for all-weather traction.
The Trail'ster concept is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 188 PS and 251 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. On the other hand, the Trail'ster is also integrated with a 1.2 kWh Lithium Ion Polymer battery that generates 36 PS and 135 Nm of torque.
