The Chrysler Group will be recalling a total of 370,297 vehicles sold worldwide for a significant fault: a loose fastener that could lock up the rear axle and result in a loss of control.

Some rear axles were reported to have been assembled using a fastener that could come loose and fail. According to sources, a Chrysler spokesperson said that 15 accidents have already been attributed to the fault, though no injuries have been reported.

The global recall affects 278,222 units in the United States, another 63,321 in Canada, 23,767 in Mexico and 4,987 for the rest of the world. The affected units include the 2009-2012 Ram 1500 pick up, the 2009-2011 Dodge Dakota pick up, the 2009 Chrysler Aspen as well as the 2009 Dodge Durango.

Of all the affected units, only the 2009 Dodge Durango was sold in the Philippines.
