Great news for weekend karters as City Kart Racing has now been included in the SODI World Series. The racing league is the biggest leisure karting series in the world with more than 22,000 drivers all over the world, in 5 continents with 160 tracks participating.

Those interested in joining the SODI World Series can register in SODI's official website and head on to City Kart in The Circuit located in Makati, the country's lone SODI accredited track. The SODI World Series allows the drivers to race or set lap times in rental kart races all year round at their own pace and convenience. The diver's laptimes or results are then included in the datebase for track, local or global rankings. The fastest drivers in the country then get the chance to compete in the SODI World Finals.

The league has three categories: The Sprint cup for individual adult races, the Endurance Cup for adult team races and the Junior Cup for kids from 7 to 14 years old. After every run, the drivers are scored points depending on their movement in the rankings. Apart from lap times and race finishes, the drivers can also see how they performed compared to those in their age brackets and gender.

City Kart will also be holding SWS races in the Makati track. The first two Sprint Cup races will be held on November 21, followed by a 4 hour endurance race on November 29. The third and fourth sprint races are set on December 13 and the 2 hour endurance race follows on December 20. City Kart will be announcing the top drivers for 2015 on December 31. City Kart will also be covering the registration fees for those who will be competing in the finals.
