Aston Martin Manila announces upcoming arrival of DBX 707

Earlier this year, Aston Martin launched its most powerful crossover yet, the DBX 707. From its namesake, it makes a monstrous 707 PS and 900 Nm of torque which puts it squarely in the super SUV category that is populated by the likes of the Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne Turbo, and the BMW X5/X6 M.

Fast forward to December 2022, and Aston Martin Manila has announced that it's set to arrive in the Philippines real soon. While no specifics were revealed at the time of their announcement, we already know what to expect once the British automaker launches it.

Beginning with the most obvious, the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 gets a new pair of turbochargers along with recalibrated tuning. The result is an extra 157 PS and 200 Nm of pull from the already mighty 8-eight-cylinder motor. Complementing the souped-up V8 is a new quad-exit exhaust to give the DBX 707 its thunderous rumble.

Besides boosting the V8, Aston Martin also installed a faster shifting 9-speed wet dual-clutch transmission while the rear e-diff has been upgraded to handle the extra power and now has a shorter final drive ratio for better acceleration. Last but not least the all-wheel drive system has been retuned to improve the DBX 707's handling. Aston Martin claims it can now go from 0 – 100 km/h in only 3.3 seconds and can hit a top speed of 311 km/h.
