Construction of Ferrari Land begins

The second Ferrari-themed amusement park will feature a variety of attractions

Fans of the prancing horse will soon have a new vacation destination as the construction of the Ferrari Land in Spain has begun.

The 100 million euro (PhP 5.1 billion) theme park will span 75,000 square meters and will feature a variety of attractions for families, teenagers and of course Ferrari fans. Ferrari Land will be inside the PortAventura resort and theme park in Spain.

One of the big attractions of the Ferrari Land will be the 112 meters tall vertical accelerator which would soon become the highest roller coaster in Europe. The vertical accelerator will “offer an amazing experience for fans of speed.” The vertical accelerator intends to give passengers an F1 experience as they will accelerate from 0 to 180 km/h in five seconds.

The prancing horse theme park will also have “adrenaline-charged” activities for F1 fans such as the “high-end technology simulators.”

In addition, Ferrari Land is set to have a 250-room hotel that is designed to resemble a Formula One race car.

Set to open in 2016, Ferrari Land is the second Ferrari-themed amusement park. The first is called Ferrari World which is in Abu Dhabi.
