High-performance grand tourer from David Brown Automotive to debut at Geneva
It was back in 2014 when David Brown Automotive first introduced the Speedback GT for the first time. It used a Jaguar XKR underpinnings but had a body styled similar to that of classic Aston Martins. Fast forward to today, and the company will soon be unveiling an all new vehicle which is said to be their most performance-oriented model yet.
At the moment, the upcoming vehicle from David Brown Automotive remains unnamed. They did however release a teaser photo showing the brand's badging and minor details about the vehicle. Like the Speedback GT, the new model is also slated to be a Grand Tourer. However, it does promise to have a more 'aggressive design language' but will still retain the company's 'vintage-inspired' looks.
Unsurprisingly, the upcoming model will only be built in limited numbers. Each one will be hand built at their Silverstone headquarters where their Mini remastered models will also be built. No details have been revealed yet as to what will be used to underpin the upcoming performance grand tourer.
“This is something that we’ve been looking forward to doing since launching Speedback GT and I can’t wait to reveal more. With its unprecedented levels of performance, this vehicle allows the David Brown Automotive brand to appeal to our existing customers, and new customers alike. The car brings yet another exciting opportunity for our company,” said David Brown, company founder and CEO.
