DENSO Establishes New Software Development Company in the Philippines
DENSO TECHNO Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of DENSO Corporation, established DENSO TECHNO PHILIPPINES, Inc. in the Philippines, in August. The new company, expected to employ 110 people by 2008, will begin software development by the end of 2006 for automotive products such as instrument clusters. The capital for the new company is 45 million PHP (approximately US$800,000 ).
"There has been increasing demand for software engineers with the advancement and increasing variety of products for automobiles," said Ota Nobuyoshi, president of DENSO TECHNO and DENSO TECHNO PHILIPPINES. "We have decided to establish a new software company in the Philippines, because of the excellent software engineers in that area."
The Philippines is the second overseas location for a DENSO Group software company. DENSO's other overseas software company is in Shanghai, China.
