There appears to be a shake up within Audi design, as key personnel have departed the company to take up posts elsewhere according to a report.

Audi chief designer Wolfgang Egger has taken a new job as head of Italdesign Giugiaro in Turin, Italy. Egger had been in charge of Audi Design since 2007. He will be replaced by Marc Lichte at Audi.

In mid-November, Achim Badstubner (the designer that was heavily involved in the A5, A6 and concepts like the Urban Concept and A2 EV) resigned his post at Audi design to head up the exterior design department at Mercedes-Benz. Badstubner will be instilling M-B's new design statement as seen in the A Class, S Class and other recent models into upcoming ones like the S Class Coupe, C Class and other models.
