Just a month after the all-electric Taycan Turbo and Turbo S made its global debut, Porsche has now expanded the model's family lineup of electric sedans. Welcome the new, most affordable Taycan yet – the 4S.

Now the 4S name is nothing new. Similar to the Turbo and Turbo S used on the Taycan launch model, Porsche aficionados would immediately notice the 4S nomenclature having been previously used on the 911 and Panamera. Much like its more powerful siblings, the Taycan 4S features twin electric motors and a two-speed transmission and an 800-volt electrical architecture.

As it slots below the Turbo and Turbo S, the Taycan 4S comes standard with a 79.2-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. However, Porsche will offer a 93.4-kWh pack as an option called the Performance Battery Plus. For reference, this is the same battery pack found standard on the Turbo and Turbo S variant. While it is the 'base' model, it still packs a lot of juice. The regular battery pack will have 522 horsepower, and the larger optional pack has 563 horsepower.

Regardless of which battery pack you choose, the 4S accelerates from 0 to 97 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h. Porsche has not revealed any range just yet. They only said that EPA figures will be announced at a later date. That said, Porsche claims it will only take 22.5 minutes to charge from 5 to 80 percent with the optional charging setup.

Styling-wise, the Taycan 4S looks nearly identical to the Turbo and Turbo S with the only noticeable differences being the smaller 19-inch wheels and red brake calipers. Inside, it's the same story. The 4S does come standard with partial-leather interior and eight-way front seats. If you happen to have a green thumb, the 4S is also available with an entirely leather-free interior.

When it comes to price, the Taycan 4S starts at $103,800 (Php 5.36 million) for the standard version and $110,380 (Php 5.7 million) for the Performance Battery Plus option. It is now available for order worldwide.
