MMPC reveals sportier-looking Mirage G4

After first debuting in Thailand in 2019, Mitsubishi's facelift of their affordable sedan is now available in the Philippines.

Featuring a redesigned exterior, the Mirage G4 gets a fresh new face while still offering a spacious and practical cabin. Gone are the soft rounded curves of the pre-facelift model as the sedan now comes with a sharper, more dynamic appearance. According to Seiji Watanabe, Head of Design Division at Mitsubishi, the 2021 Mirage G4 now comes with the 'Geometry of Cool' design concept.

The sedan gets a sleeker set of headlights, a new front bumper, and a massive 'Dynamic Shield' grille inspired by the Montero Sport. Around the back, the sedan gets a "low-wide" look thanks to a redesigned bumper and new rear reflectors. Rounding up the exterior changes on the sedan are the sporty new 15-inch wheels which are standard across the range.

The cabin of the Mirage G4 remains relatively familiar with the aircon vents, three-spoke steering wheel, automatic climate control panel on the GLS version, and piano black trim pieces. What's new, however, are the updated gauges on the instrument panel which now have a carbon-fiber-like motif. Last but not least is the new geometric pattern on the seats which give the sedan a more sophisticated look and feel.

Infotainment comes in the form of a 7-inch touchscreen. It's available across the range and comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity. The GLX variant only comes with 2 speakers while the top-of-the-line GLS is equipped with 4 speakers. As before, the GLS comes with a folding armrest with integrated cupholders for better riding comfort for the rear passengers.

Under the hood is the familiar 1.2-liter three-cylinder MIVEC engine, still rated at 78 PS at 6000 rpm with 100 Nm of torque and mated to either a five-speed manual gearbox or a continuously variable transmission (CVT). To give drivers peace of mind, Mitsubishi will be giving a free Preventive Maintenance Service (PMS) package for up to 2 years or 25,000 km (whichever comes first) and a free sanitation service.

This special promo is available to customers that will purchase a 2021 Mirage G4 from August 28 to November 30, 2021.
