Fahlke unveils 1242 PS Larea GT1 S12

It can go from 0-100 km/h in just 2 seconds

German auto builder Fahlke recently unveiled the Larea GT1 S12, their most powerful model in the Larea GT1 model lineup.

Carbon fiber was extensively used for the construction of the monocoque chassis along with the body panels. The carbon fiber setup gives the Larea GT1 S12 a dry weight of only 900 kg. Exterior-wise, it has an aerodynamically-designed body. Its front-end features wheel arches extend from the front of the car and it makes use of sleek headlights.

At the back, it has a simple straight design that consists of dual taillights, and a quad exhaust tailpipes. Topping it all of is a set of Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes that sit behind 18-inch forged aluminum wheels.

Inside, the cabin has a simple layout as well as it only houses two sports seats, a sports steering wheel, toggle switches and a center mounted speedometer and display.

Under the hood is a 7.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that produces 1242 PS and 1600 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox that drives the rear wheels and has a limited-slip differential. With 1242 PS and a dry weight of 900 kg, the car has a power-to-weight ratio of 1.38:1, close to the Koenigsegg One:1 which has a ratio of 1:1. According to the German automaker, it can go from 0-100 km/h in just 2 seconds while its 0-200 km/h time can be achieved in 5 seconds. Top speed of the Larea GT1 S12 is claimed to be over 400 km/h.
