Trendy Anne Tamayo named as one of the best service advisors in SEA
A Filipina from Chevrolet's Davao dealership has just topped the Regional Skills Contest, an annual regional competiton of Chevrolet service technicians, advisors, and sales consultants.
Trendy Anne Tamayo, a service advisor from Chevrolet Davao, was named as one of the three best service advisors in Southeast Asia.
“I am very happy and proud to represent the Philippines today and to be named Best of the Best in the Service Advisor category,” said Ms. Tamayo in a press statement from Chevrolet. “I think I have won today because I have managed to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction in every test that I had to take during the contest.”
The Chevrolet Training Academy conducts the annual Regional Skills Contest where Chevrolet distributors field the top technicians, sales consultants and service advisors from their respective dealerships in Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Cambodia. The Regional Skills Contest is held at the Chevrolet Training Centre in Bangkok, Thailand.
“I hope this award will inspire and motivate everyone at Chevrolet Philippines so that we deliver the best experience possible for our customers,” continued Tamayo.
Contestants are put through a series of challenges that test their product knowledge, their ability to provide solutions, their sales and aftersales skills and their technical ability. The sales and service assessment methodology features multiple stations covering web-based knowledge tests, product demonstrations and situation-based real-life scenarios like vehicle delivery to customers.
The assessment for technicians also features multiple stations covering web-based tests, vehicle diagnostics, and testing and measurement procedures on various electrical and mechanical stations. For the vehicle diagnosis section, technicians work on the Chevrolet Colorado and Trailblazer which are all sold across Southeast Asia.
