First batch of Chery Tiggo 5X Pro has arrived, will start at PHP 940k
Aside from Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid, Chery Auto PH also preparing to reveal Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid
There’s a new Chery crossover set to electrify the country soon. Apart from the Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid the automaker recently showed and is now accepting inquiries, the Tiggo 5X Pro (and 5X Pro Hybrid) will also be launched later this month.
In fact, the first batch of the crossover has already landed in the country before its official launch. The arrival of the Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid makes it the newest addition to Chery Auto PH’s expanding vehicle lineup.
No official specs yet are available for the Tiggo 5X Pro. However, we received insider information about its possible specifications for the Philippine market. For starters, it will reportedly have a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine along with a variant that's assisted by a 48V belt-starter generator (BSG). Should this be true, then it could come with a similar powertrain as the Tiggo 7 Pro and 7 Pro Hybrid.
Not only that, the electrified variant might also get fuel-saving technologies just like its bigger sibling. That means we could expect to see features such as auto start/stop, regenerative braking, as well as torque assist that provides faster acceleration while under load.
When it comes to amenities, we need not look far as a pre-production model was shown at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show a few months ago. It may come with the following, a digital instrument cluster, a leather interior, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, a sunroof, a wireless charging pad, and automatic LED headlights.
With the first batch already here in the country and Chery already holding a special promo if you spot a Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid with a unique livery, we're only several weeks away before the grand reveal. And in case you already want to put down a reservation, Chery is now accepting reservations at authorized dealerships.
What's even better is that they have already released the official pricing of the upcoming crossover, and it will be available in hybrid and non-hybrid forms. The regular Tiggo 5X Pro will retail for PHP 940,000 while the electrified version will have a sticker price of PHP 1.140 million.
