First look at the all-new 2016 Honda Civic

Fully-digital gauge cluster, new touchscreen infotainment present on the all-new Civic

After Honda debuted the tenth-generation Honda Civic a few weeks ago, a member of the CivicXForum was able to get a walkaround view of the all-new compact.

Supposedly the Touring variant of the 2016 Civic, the car might be a pre-production version as Honda is set to make its full debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Motor Show come November. As previously seen, the 2016 Civic now sports the brand's 'Solid Wing Face' which consist of sleek LED headlights, daytime running lights, new bumper and the distinct grill trim.

Moving towards the side, it now has a fastback-style tail that is accented by character lines and new alloy wheels. The rear section now carries restyled taillights that flank the newly-designed trunk lid.

Inside, the Civic now has a full digital instrument cluster which shows the tachometer, speedometer, fuel and engine temperature gauge, trip computer, outside temperature gauge along with the necessary notification lights. In addition, the center gauge cluster also houses a mini menu screen that can display Music, Phonebook, Infotainment settings, Compass and Navigation as such.

It also has a new touchscreen infotainment system which somehow resembles the unit used on the current City GM6. It displays and manages the previously mentioned menus and functions. Other features present inside the 2016 Civic include automatic climate control, reverse camera, sunroof, electronic parking brake, and the Brake Hold function that was first applied on the 2015 HR-V.

Under the hood, it is apparently driven by the new turbocharged Earth Dreams 1.5-liter inline-four that is connected to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Exact power output of the new engine remains to be a mystery.

Full details of the 2016 Honda Civic will be shown on the 2015 Los Angeles Motor Show which will take place from November 20 – 29, 2015 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
