Want a Subaru BRZ?
Late last month, Motor Image Pilipinas officially listed the all-new Subaru BRZ on their website. It wasn't just a preview, either. The automaker also listed the official prices of the sports car. The 2022 BRZ will start at PHP 2.399 million for the manual version, while the automatic (with EyeSight) retails for PHP 2.499 million. As for when it will arrive, Tan Chong Limited Deputy Chairman and Managing Director Glenn Tan said the new BRZ will be coming to the Philippines in April 2022.
It seems news of the BRZ's upcoming arrival has gotten a lot of people excited, and a good number have already pre-ordered a unit. After speaking to Motor Image, we were told that the first batch of the 2022 BRZ is already sold out. Mind you, the order books were only opened in late November.
We weren't told exactly how many units will arrive for the first batch, but they did say it is approximately less than 100 units. Does that mean no more units will arrive? Thankfully, that's not the case. The production numbers of the BRZ won't be limited, similar to its predecessor. However, it does mean those still considering one will now have to wait longer if they do decide to pre-order. Mind you, there is still a global parts shortage affecting production.
If you're serious about the new BRZ, we suggest you head to a Subaru dealership near you and pre-order a unit today. There is a non-refundable deposit of PHP 200,000 for a unit, though. With that, better be sure about buying one.
