In the latest set of crash tests done by the Japan New Car Assessment Program (JNCAP), Five Subaru models scored top marks and have been awarded JNCAP's Five Star Award.
The cars that received the award were the Forester, WRX, Levorg and the recently launched Legacy and Outback. It is worth noting that the Legacy and Outback scored 188.8 points out of a possible 200 points, making it the safest mid-sized sedan and wagon, respectively, according to JNCAP results.
Aside from the crash worthiness results, another reason why Subaru posted good scores is with their pre-crash safety system called EyeSight. That too earned the top rating for Advanced Safety Vehicle-Plus.
Subaru now has seven cars with Five Star Awards, the Outback, Legacy, Forester, WRX, Levorg, Impreza and XV
