Ford has just revealed two special edition trim models for their pony car over in Europe. Called the Black Shadow and Blue editions, each car receives unique add-ons that give both Mustangs a sportier look.

“The Ford Mustang has no trouble standing out on European roads, and with the new Ford Mustang Black Shadow Edition and Blue Edition models, Mustang drivers will be turning even more heads. Special edition Ford Mustangs have been an important part of the Mustang story for more than 50 years, and now customers in Europe can play their own part in the iconic car’s rich special edition history,” said Roelant de Ward, vice president, marketing, sales & service at Ford of Europe.

Starting off with the Mustang Blue edition, this brightly-colored pony pays tribute to the Grabber colors which were available for the 1969 Shelby GT350 and GT500 specials. Aside from the distinct Grabber Blue seen here, other colors like Grabber Orange, Grabber Yellow and Grabber Lime are also available.

Engines available for the Blue Edition Mustang include the 317 PS 2.3-liter EcoBoost and the more powerful 421 PS 5.0-liter V8. Six-speed automatic or manual transmissions can also be specified, as well as the following: SYNC 3, hood and roof stripes, 19-inch black alloy wheels and black leather seats with heating and cooling functions.

The Ford Mustang Black Shadow Edition

Next up is the Mustang Black Shadow Edition that is only available with the top-of-the-range 5.0-liter V8. As the name implies, the dark-themed pony car gets a plethora of black trim accents which include the: pony emblem on the GT grill, exclusive 19-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels, black stripes on the hood and sides and black 5.0-liter badging. In terms of color, the Black Shadow can be painted in Platinum White, Triple Yellow, Race Red and Grabber Blue.

Other standard features present in the blacked-out special are: heated and cooled front seats, premium ShakerPro audio with 12-speakers and an 8-inch subwoofer, and premium black leather upholstery.

There is no word if Ford plans to offer the Black Shadow and Blue Edition specials outside of Europe.
