Ford Motor Company debuted the updated 2015 Focus ST at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The automaker is now offering a diesel variant of the Focus ST for the first time.
The exterior of the 2015 Focus ST is more sporty, but the upgrades are not only seen in the design of the vehicle. The 2015 Focus ST comes with a new chassis, a tuned suspension and sharper steering that contribute to the vehicle’s improved driving dynamics.
Apart from the 256 PS 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine that we reported last Friday, the 2015 Ford Focus ST will also be available with a new 2.0-liter TDCI diesel engine.
The 2.0 TDCI turbodiesel makes a healthy 185 PS (the standard 2.0L TDCI in the European Focus makes 150 PS) as well as 400 Nm of torque.
The 256 PS EcoBoost Focus ST can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds while the 185 PS TDCI Focus ST can do it in 8.0 seconds.
