Resembles the soon-to-arrive 2015 Ford Everest
'Smarter, Safer, Smoother, Stronger'. This what Ford Asia Pacific stated about a few facts of the upcoming refreshed 2015 Ranger.
Exterior-wise it now resembles the all-new Ford Everest which is also slated to arrive next year. Its headlights are now sleeker and is equipped with HID projectors while the grill sports a 3-bar design. Completing the updates are a set of foglamps that are now housed in rectangular bezels.
Interior and powertrain specifics were not detailed by Ford but they claim that the updated Ranger will now allow customers to 'drive smarter, challenge conventions and achieve more'.
The current Ford Ranger version on sale is powered by either a 2.2-liter inline-four turbo diesel that is rated at 150 PS with 375 Nm of torque and a 3.2-liter inline-five turbo diesel that cranks out 200 PS with 470 Nm of torque. Both can be mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic depending on trim level.
No statement yet from Ford if the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that will be available for the 2015 Everest can be opted for the 2015 Ranger.
