The surge in sales during the first three months of the year was led by the success of the Ford Fiesta and continued strong sales across Ford's full lineup of vehicles, especially the Ford Everest and Ford Escape SUVs and Ford Ranger pickup.
The award-winning Fiesta continued its rapid rise in popularity among Filipinos and finished March as Ford's best-selling nameplate both for the month and for the quarter with 799 total units.
"The new Fiesta is helping drive significant sales momentum this year, as it continues to attract a wide range of new-to-Ford customers who appreciate its class-leading design, smart technology, superior fuel efficiency, and unmatched safety in a small car," said Randy Krieger, president of Ford Group Philippines.
Ford's record quarter was also supported by the continued strong performance of the Ford Everest with sales that rose 69%, as well as a 29% increase in sales for the Ranger.
"It's clear that Filipinos truly appreciate the experience that our world-class Ford vehicles and technologies deliver, and we're determined to continue building on this success through our One Ford plan -- which will deliver eight all-new One Ford global products to our ASEAN region over the next five years," explained Krieger.
