Remember when the Blue Oval revealed the Ranger Raptor X last May? Well, the automaker has just confirmed that the racing-inspired Ranger Raptor will be coming to the Philippines.
This was officially confirmed by Mike Breen, the newly appointed Managing Director of Ford Philippines. It's set to arrive in the country this July and will be immediately available to customers. Those interested in getting one better hurry though as only 200 units will be brought to the country.
But what makes the Ranger Raptor X special compared to the standard Ranger Raptor?
This special edition pick-up gets a sportier look thanks to a host of exterior and interior upgrades. It gets distinct black and red racing stripes which can be seen on the hood, roof, doors, and tailgate. Meanwhile, the 17-inch alloy wheels are painted black and ride on 33-inch BF Goodrich all-terrain tires. Last but not least, Ford installed red tow hooks and a tubular sports bar at the back.
Over to the interior, it gets a more subtle upgrade courtesy of red contrast stitching. This can be seen on the dashboard, leather seats, center console, and door panels. Unique only to this particular Ranger Raptor is the body-contoured front seats.
Under the hood, the Ranger Raptor X is powered by the familiar 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel inline-four that is connected to a ten-speed automatic gearbox. It makes 213 PS along with 500 Nm of torque.
The Ford Ranger Raptor X will retail for PHP 2.038 million. Given that there are only 200 units earmarked for the Philippine market, better decide now if you really want one and place a reservation.
