Ford Philippines is on a roll as the company recently announced that they have increased their overall year-to-date performance by 15% thanks to the continuing demand of the Ranger pickup and EcoSport mini crossover.
“We're pleased that our momentum continued through July as Filipinos show their confidence in the Ford brand and appreciation for the way of our global Ford vehicles, particularly the Ranger and the EcoSport, are meeting their lifestyle and transportation needs,” said Kay Hart, Managing Director of Ford Philippines.
Numbers-wise, the Ranger remains to be the best-selling pickup in the country as 557 examples of the pickup were sold in the month of July. By itself, it allowed the Ranger to increase its own year-to-date sales performance to 24%, totaling in 4,884 units sold.
Ford Philippines expects the Ranger to keep its title as the best-selling pickup as they also announced that the updated Ranger will soon be making its Philippine debut this month. Billed as a tough and smart pickup, Ford claims it will set a new benchmark in the segment with its blend of rugged capability, build quality and advanced tech.
Deliveries of the updated Ranger will begin in September, alongside the 2015 Everest which the company also expects to rake in huge sales in the lucrative Pickup Platform Vehicle segment (PPV).
Also helping Ford Philippines increase their sales performance are the EcoSport and the Fiesta. Originally launched last year, the EcoSport made its highest record sales in July with 833 units sold. Its year-to-date sales now stands at 4,966 units.
The Fiesta on the other hand managed to increase its sales performance for July as the company was able to sold 153 units of the nameplate. Its year-to-date performance is currently at 867 units.
To top it all off, Ford Philippines will also be holding their 20th anniversary and grand re-opening of their EDSA dealership this month. It was the company's first ever dealership in the country 20 years ago.
Ford is on track with its dealership network expansion to open 40 locations by the end of 2015.
