Ford Ranger wins third International Pickup Award
Ford Ranger and VW Amarok are joint winners of International Pickup Award for 2023/2024

The next-generation Ford Ranger is proving to be a big hit in the Philippine market, as it's currently the best-selling vehicle in the Blue Oval lineup. International markets, on the other hand, are also recognizing the work done by Ford to make the T6.2 platform even better.
This year, the Ford Ranger has been named the winner of the International Pickup Award (IPUA), along with its Volkswagen twin, the Amarok. This marks the first time IPUA awarded joint winners since the global honor started in 2010.

The pair underwent a series of off-road and on-road tests in Greece along with other pickup trucks such as last year's IPUA winner, the Toyota Hilux. According to Jarlath Sweeney, chairman of the IPUA jury, it was impossible to separate the two models from each other. And even though the Ranger and Amarok are products of a collaboration project, each manufacturer has managed to maintain their unique styling and driving traits.
It's the third time Ford has captured the IPUA crown with the Ranger's T6 platform, as they won the title back in 2013 and 2020. On the other hand, the Amarok was also awarded its third IPUA title, winning the inaugural trophy in 2011 and again in 2018.
“We are delighted that the Ford Ranger has been recognized by the IPUA jury for the third time, which is testament to its enduring appeal as Europe’s favorite pickup for the past eight years. The new Ford Ranger has the most comprehensive series choice yet, offering customers the on-road refinement and off-road capability to suit work days and weekends. It’s built ready for work and play,” said Hans Schep, General Manager, Ford Pro Europe.
