Stunning SUV revealed in concept form
Here's what you've been waiting for: the Ford Everest SUV based on the Ranger T6 platform.
It's still a concept but these images from the Ford Go Further event in Sydney, Australia have just surfaced, revealing the new styling direction of the upcoming Everest, particularly with the striking front end.
The Australian-designed Everest concept extends the Ranger's cabin to make way for another pair of seats. The current Ranger was also designed by Ford's team in Australia.
“This is our vision for a large, seven-seat off-road SUV to allow our customers to take on the world and it was created by our world-class design team here in Australia,” said Mark Fields, Ford Motor Company Chief Operating Officer in a press release.
The Everest Concept isn't quite ready for production yet but given the design as well as the powerful Duratorq TDCI engines (expect 3.2 and 2.2 liter TDCI motors), it won't be surprising if the production version becomes quite a sales hit.
The Everest will fall under Ford president Alan Mulally's One Ford Plan and will be a global model.
Looks good doesn't it?
