After waiting 17 years and finally making its return last January, we now get to see the first ever modified A90 Supra in metal, and it is built by none other than Toyota's in-house tuner Toyota Racing Division (TRD). Teased earlier this February, the GR Supra Performance Line Concept TRD officially made its global debut last Friday during the opening of the Osaka Auto Messe.

Much like the teaser photo, we can see that TRD has fitted a host of new stylish and functional parts to the GR Supra. Functional, as TRD describes all of the parts combined, help improve aerodynamics over the GR Supra's body which will result to better handling and overall balance of the car. More so, these parts are all built out of lightweight but strong carbon fiber.

Starting with the front, TRD adds a large front lip to the Supra which increases downforce and smoothens airflow as it passes. Not to mention the chin also gives the Supra an even more aggressive stance. The side skirt does the same effect of smoothening airflow especially with its low position, sending air to the carbon fiber rear spats.

Curiously, TRD also offers a new door garnish which covers the fake vent, and replacing it with a carbon piece with fins. Despite it being a door garnish, TRD says it helps direct airflow pass over the fenders and onto the wheels instead. Completing the exterior make over is the carbon fiber trunk spoiler (not a large rear wing as we expected in the sketch) and the 19-inch forged aluminum wheels with a mesh design.

At the moment, TRD doesn't seem to be offering the GR Supra with suspension, chassis or brake upgrades. No engine upgrades were announced as well. However, the bottom of the TRD website did say 'To be continued'. So does this mean we will see more parts for the Supra in the future? We certainly hope so.
