These Foton Traveller, Transvan HR ambulances are ready for duty

As demand for emergency vehicles increase amid the pandemic, more and more local government units (LGUs) are in need of reliable ambulances to ferry those that need treatment. With that in mind, several LGUs in the country recently turned to Foton Philippines in order to boost its fleet of emergency vehicles.

First is the province of Pampanga which bought 11 units of the Traveller Ambulance. All are equipped with the 2.8-liter Cummins turbo-diesel engine that is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, driving the rear wheels. With its high-roof configuration, medical personnel should be able to easily get in and out of the vehicle.

Meanwhile, the provincial government of Camarines Sur purchased several units of the Foton Transvan HR Ambulance. This particular model comes equipped with emergency equipment like wheeled stretchers, heavy-duty spine boards, paramedic seats, and other essential kits. It also comes with power sockets that can supply electricity to crucial equipment like defibrillators, ECG monitors, and disinfection lamps.

Last but not least is Palawan which also bought several examples of the Transvan HR Ambulance. Like the ones in Camarines Sur, the Transvan HR Ambulance is powered by a 2.8-liter turbo-diesel engine that is connected to a five-speed manual transmission.
