United Asia Automotive Group Inc., the official distributor of Foton in the country, recently participated for the first time at the 2016 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) last September 14 to 18 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

During the event, the Chinese automaker showcased their trucks and passenger vehicles. Included in Foton's lineup is the GTL Tractor Head which represents the brand's heavy duty truck (HDT) segment. The tractor head is equipped with a Cummins diesel engine-powered HDT. It also has a maximum payload capacity 80,000 kg making it capable for long hauls.

On the other hand, the light duty trucks (LDT) segment was represented by the Tornado Cummins 3.5.

Foton boasts of their truck offerings as technologically capable, being equipped with Common Rail Diesel Injection (CRDI) powertrains.

Meanwhile, the Gratour, Toano, and Toplander Xtreme SUV were the brand's highlights in the passenger vehicle segment. The seven-seater minivan, Gratour is the brand's most affordable product priced at only Php 490,000. It is also Euro-IV compliant and comes with generous legroom, spacious cabin, and fuel-efficiency.

On feature was the limited Executive variant of the View van. It features a bubble roof, individual adjustable head and back rests, automated electric stepboards and a nautical-inspired interior. Inside, it is fitted with leather "captain seats", blue LED pin lights and a full-entertainment system.

The brand's SUV offering, the Toplander Xtreme was also displayed. It is accessoried with a snorkel, rain gutters, tow hitch plus 20’’ alloy rims and 265/50 all-terrain tires.
